Yes - I was obsessed since Gossip Girl. However, there's so much that Gossip Girl or travel influencers won't tell you...

This opportunity created a path to branch out from the inner city norms, stereotypes and all that comes with it. An opportunity to add something to my conversations, but most importantly another experience to use while motivating little girls that look like me that can only dream of such an experience...

5:50 am. Looking at what I jokingly call The “Hood Eiffel Tower” (although I’m sure it’s just a cell tower hahah). The countdown is done, packing is done (well almost), and my flight will commence in a matter of hours for Paris, France.

However, what I did not share or may have been afraid to share was the anxiety that came along with traveling internationally. Yes, bloggers and influencers will have individuals thinking it’s just a breeze and photo opportunity with a Louis Vuitton bag (for me Thank you @hm lol!!). Yet, the conversations and fears I’ve encountered were real - cold feet for a first timer.

Thoughts like “Are my questions silly?” “Is it worth all the hassle?” Or “Will my presentation skills be flawless in front of French Organization”... Tons of prayers and conversations NEEDED to happen for me to get over those fears. This opportunity creates a path to branch out from the inner city norms, stereotypes and all that comes with it. An opportunity to add something to my conversations, but most importantly another experience to use while motivating little girls that look like me that can only dream of such an experience.
